Paul Patrol do Red January

Story

Brought together by the Crocombe Family in 2021 (Peter, Rachel, Rosie and Maggie), Paul Patrol are a 100+ strong team who have moved and shaken their way through RED January, celebrating the legacy of Paul Crocombe along the way.

Each one of the team has done what they can, to do some form of exercise every single day of January - whether that's a run, skip, walk, swim, cycle or dance class! The team has covered all corners of the globe, all ages and all sporting abilities but have been connected by a buzzing WhatsApp group - sharing daily motivation, videos and words of encouragement. For many of the group - this has been a huge achievement!

In February of 2020, Paul sadly took his life after a battle with depression and the family have been on a fundraising and awareness mission since he passed away. Paul was a great sportsman, teacher, a huge encourager and lover of life - he would have fully backed this challenge and in his honour, the team aptly named themselves Paul Patrol!

Sport in Mind are a mental health charity that uses sport and physical activity to improve the lives of people experiencing mental health problems and has been the family's chosen charity since Paul's passing. From the funds raised so far his name, a new Children and Young People Programme has been launched as part of 'The Mr Crocombe Legacy' and we'd love to continue contributing to that.

£10 supports a child or young person access a Sport in Mind Journal, supporting them to create healthy habits

£150 educates 30 children and young people about the benefits of being active for their mental health
